GENERAL HELP

1. How do I configure my phone for WAP? ^ Top ^

Most operators offer a remote configuration service. This is done by calling your wireless operator and requesting a WAP configuration for your phone. The configuration is then sent from the operator directly to your phone. Some operators offer this service directly from their web site. Please contact your wireless operator and they will assist you with this process.

2. How do I know if my phone is WAP enabled? ^ Top ^

Step1: Go to your phone browser (this function depends on your particular handset model).
Step2: Enter the address http://24games.mobi /
Step3: If you see the Mobile Games Logo, your phone is WAP enabled.

3. What is Java & J2ME? ^ Top ^

Java is a programming language invented by Sun Microsystems. J2ME is a version of Java specifically designed to work on small devices such as mobile phones. J2ME allows you to download applications, including games, to your J2ME-enabled phone. If the downloaded application does not require network access, you can use it without consuming or being charged for airtime.

4. Is a java/J2ME handset required to play Mobile Games? ^ Top ^

Yes, Mobile Game’s current games catalogue is for J2ME enabled phones only. Please see our list of compatible handsets

5. My phone is not listed, can I still purchase games? ^ Top ^

There is a list of compatible phone models for each game. If your handset is not listed among these, then unfortunately you won't be able to download any Mobile Games products. Please refer to the mobile games tab for a full list of our compatible handsets.

6. How many games can I store on my phone at one time? ^ Top ^

The exact number will depend on your phone, the size of the games, and how many other applications you have downloaded.

7. Can I change the games stored on my phone? ^ Top ^

Yes. You can add or remove games from your phone. Depending on your carrier, you may be able to retrieve a "disabled" or "discarded" game without having to re-purchase it.

8. What is GPRS? ^ Top ^

The acronym GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service. GPRS overlays an existing GSM/TDMA network to facilitate the transfer of data in packetized form. Data is divided into an ordered collection of packets that are transmitted across a network for reassembly on the receiving system. This approach reduces the transmission (or retransmission) time for each packet and allows for packets to be independently routed; taking advantage of spare capacity that may be present in the network. This method is the same as the one used on the Internet for data transmission.

10. I ordered a phone game but I haven't received anything yet. What do I do? ^ Top ^

First check that you are in a network service coverage area if you are please wait for your SMS text message to arrive, sometimes delays occur due to network operators experiencing difficulties. If for any reason the sms text message does not arrive you can go to the 24 Games Mobi site on your phone browser @ http://www.24games.mobi Click on redeem game then enter the Game Key you will find this in the confirmation of purchase email that has been sent to you. If you are still having difficulties please email the support address above and we will investigate the problem thoroughly. I ordered a game and received a bookmark on my phone.

11. What do I do next? ^ Top ^

Make sure you save the bookmark then 'go to' the bookmark in the Services menu on your phone. The game bookmark will be displayed and you will be prompted to download the game. When accepted the game will appear on the screen and enable you to save it and play!
12. How can I play the game after downloading it? ^ Top ^

Simply go to games menu on your phone and the downloaded game will be there, waiting for you to play it!

13. Why am I experiencing difficulties downloading to my handset? ^ Top ^

Firstly check your network coverage. If this seems fine then request a WAP configuration again to be certain. Now try again. To check if your phone is WAP enabled, please see above (the first FAQ)

14. What happens if the phone I'm sending to is switched off or out of coverage when I buy a game? ^ Top ^

Don't worry your game will not be lost. As soon you switch your phone on again or come back into an area with coverage, the sms txt message will either come through or be in the queue to come through to your phone.
